wild card weekend recap
As we reflect on this past Super Wild Card weekend , it was great! An unexpectedly great slate of games even the ones that everyone agreed on had wire to wire action. I will say looking back on the predictions we went 4 for 6 but the scores predicted were pretty far off from the actual close games. Of the games played this past weekend the one that surprised me the most was obviously Bear vs. Packers. At one point in the game the Bears were down 18 points and the Cardiac Kids came through again storming behind Caleb Williams and that defense who even missed opportunities for turnovers. Caleb has the makeup of someone who just doesn’t give a fuck whether it be off the field or on the field it doesn’t ever seem like he is out of the game at any point. Chicago has the rare opportunity of a non-playoff team having home field advantage. It looks like the whether is going to play into Chicago’s favor with sub-20 degree temperatures and snow. Last year the Rams ran into a good Eagles team in the same conditions and played good but it wasn’t enough. I love the Bears in this match-up because of the crowd and the weather.
I would be remised if I didn’t talk about the Jags reporter complimenting Liam Cohen. I will keep this pretty simply why the fuck would you be made at an interview who has been covering the team for 30-years complimenting and being the voice of a fandom? Jags are notorious for missing on their head coaches in recent history why not have someone reassure you that you are doing a great job and that the city is behind you. If you are angry about the integrity of this reporters and I don’t use this lightly fuck off. This nice black lady should be encouraged. I would love to have a nice black lady compliment me if I lose a deal. That has to be the best feeling.
